Clinical practice
Since 2013 Dr. Bagi has worked as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road and Apollo Hospitals, Jayanagar. His clinical focus includes coronary interventions, primary and complex angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, intravascular imaging, structural-heart procedures and comprehensive non-invasive cardiac evaluation.
He also visits his birthplace, Mahalingpur — a small town in Bagalkot district — fortnightly for cardiac interventions. Mahalingpur was the first small town in India to have a cardiac cath lab.
Academic and professional contribution
Dr. Bagi has presented and participated in many conferences at national level, and has publications in the Indian Heart Journal and British medical journals. He has been a faculty member and speaker in CMEs at various national and international forums.
He is a member of the Association of Physicians of India (API) and the Cardiological Society of India (CSI), and received FSCAI (Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions) fellowship recognition in 2022. In 2025 he was recognised in the Outlook Best Doctors South 2025 list.
